The most complete guide! Both for new as well as experienced collectors!

The first 80 years of the modern Olympic Games saw participants wearing badges that often were made of bronze or brass. Some were gilded or silver-plated and often with enamel detail. Some of the badges had ribbons; others were numerically marked on the front or back and most of them showed the participants roll via the use of different colours and explanatory text. The badges were used from the first Olympic Games in 1896 until 1984 when modern bar-coded, photo-identity cards have replaced them.
